SPACs have recently gained momentum. Their IPO fundraising was 13.6 billion in 2019, 83.353 billion in 2020, and 100.846 billion in 2021. We will analyze the reasons behind the success of SPACs and how likely it is that the instrument's popularity will keep rising.

The event will be moderated by Tim Hall and George Gvishiani.

Professor David Erickson

David Erickson is a senior fellow in finance at Wharton, where he co-teaches Strategic Equity Finance and is co-director of the Stevens Center for Innovation in Finance. Prior to teaching at Wharton, David Erickson worked on Wall Street for over 25 years, helping private and public companies raise equity strategically.
