Our friends at London Business School would like to extend to Whartonites a wonderful invitation to a fantastic day out in sunny July to visit the vineyard of one of the most exciting English winemakers: Gusbourne Estate in Kent.
Gusbourne is the most awarded English sparkling wine producer (230 wine medals worldwide, Gusbourne winemaker Charlie Holland is the only three-time winner of the IWSC English Wine Producer of the Year).
A visit to the vineyard and a picnic is included. Participants will have a tasting flight of our four sparkling wines to enjoy with their picnic. This will include Brut Reserve, Rosé, Blanc de Blancs and Blanc de Noirs. These will be poured for each guest when they’re seated for their picnics and the host will go through the wine with the table as they’re poured. Guests will then have the four wines in their glasses to enjoy with their picnic. Additional bottles can be purchase in advance or on the day.
Please kindly specify your choice of picnic between: Charcuterie, Vegetarian and Vegan.
Return private coach from London Business School (NW1 4SH) to/from the Estate is included.
The itinerary will be as follows:
9am – departure from London Business School by private coach
11:30am – arrival. Guests to be guided to the Commanders decking space.
12pm – picnics for the first half of guests served with a tasting flight of 4 wines. Tour for the other half of guests to commence.
1:45pm – tour returns and served their picnics and tasting flight of 4 wines.
1:45pm – 2:15pm: Half an hour to socialise as a whole group together.
2:15pm – Final half of guests to be taken on their tour.
4:00pm – Final guests return from their tour.
4:30pm – Guest departure
7pm – estimated arrival back at London Business School
Cancellations and Refunds: If the event is cancelled due to continued COVID-19 restrictions and the venue will offer refunds, we are happy to do so as well. In all other cases there can be no refunds unfortunately. Nevertheless we will be running a wait list once all tickets are sold; if you would like your ticket(s) to be offered to someone else, send us a refund request and if we manage to resell it we will process your refund.
