We cordially invite you to join us at our next HBS Alumni Angels of London event on Thursday, October 11th for an expert panel discussion on the stage of angel and early stage investing in the UK.

The evening will be moderated by Jenny Tooth, OBE and CEO of the UK Business Angels Association, the trade body for angel and early stage investing, representing over 15,000 investors around the UK. Jenny has over 20 years’ experience of facilitating SMEs access to investment, both in the UK and internationally. Jenny will be joined by Martin Mignot, Partner at Index Ventures who focuses on Seed and Series A investments; John Spindler, the Founder and General Partner of the AI Seed Fund; and Alex Hoye, a seasoned angel investor and entrepreneur who co-founded the co-working space Runway East.

The discussion will draw on the practical experience of the panellists to examine questions such as:

  •  How is the early stage investment ecosystem changing? In particular how is the role of angel vs. Institutional investors changing?
    •    Is early stage investing increasing or decreasing?
    •    Are there specific sectors most suited for Angel investing?
    •    What makes for successful early stage investment strategies?
    •    How can an angel best help their investments succeed?
    •    Are early stage investors getting a ROI?
    •    How will Brexit impact the early stage environment?
