‘Who did it and why?’ is a long-standing conundrum for many mystery novels and crime films, but what is the science behind it? With Halloween fast approaching, we will kick-off our speaker series with Dr. Keri Wong, Penn alumna (C’10, GSAS’10) and now UCL Assistant Professor in Psychology, who will discuss the biopsychosocial causes of crime. We will examine the relationship between mental health and violence from a developmental perspective, and discuss the extent to which neuroscientific evidence should be used in the criminal court room.

This will be an interactive Penn-style seminar (over drinks and nibbles!) and a great way to meet other alumni, wind down after work, and share your insights on the topic. So join us at one of the oldest most charming local historic pubs in the famous Whitechapel. After the event, we might even visit the infamous spot where Jack the Ripper committed his first known deed…
