Oh come all ye Quakers!
This is the time of year we would all usually be getting together to enjoy drinks and canapes and merriment. This year has been different to say the least, but we did not want to forego the drink and be merry part! So in the spirit of keeping the holidays festive, the Penn and Wharton Clubs of the UK are delighted to bring you a very special Holiday wine tasting.
Please join us for a wine evening on Monday the 21st of December from the comfort of your own home.
Can you tell a naturally sweet wine from one that has been fortified with alcohol? Did you know that some wines with high sugar content can be dry?
Hosted by Penn alumna Maggie Rosen and Sommelier Zsofi Kiss of 67 Pall Mall, a private members' club for those who love wine, this tasting will test your knowledge of some of the most luscious and delectable wine styles - and introduce you to some that may not be familiar.
When: Monday 21 December 2020 at 6:30pm GMT
How: Participants will receive mini-bottle packs by courier and join via Zoom
Price: £80 for UK / £90 for Europe. One tasting can be shared by two attendees.
RSVP: by Friday 11 December
Let's drink and be merry!
Dress code: Glam loungewear
Tasting packs will include six mini bottles containing between 50-72ml of wine, carefully preserved under Argon gas (inert and non-toxic), as well as a tasting mat with numbered circles and information about which bottles are best refrigerated beforehand.
Participants will provide their own wine glasses.
We look forward to seeing you for a "toast to dear old Penn"!
