About Professor Kartik Hosanagar
Professor Kartik Hosanagar is the John C. Hower Professor of Technology and Digital Business and Professor of Marketing at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
His research focuses on the digital economy, including artificial intelligence, internet media, digital marketing, e-commerce, and the societal impact of technology. He serves as a Department Editor at Management Science and has previously held senior editorial roles at Information Systems Research and MIS Quarterly.
A highly regarded educator, Kartik has received eleven MBA and Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Awards at Wharton and has been recognised as one of the world's Top 40 Business Professors Under 40.
Beyond academia, Kartik is an entrepreneur and technology leader. He co-founded Yodle, a venture-backed company later acquired by Web.com, and is the Founder and Chairman of Jumpcut Media, an AI company serving leading media and entertainment organisations. He also serves on the AI Advisory Council for the U.S. Department of Defense.
His consulting and executive education clients have included Google, American Express, Citi, and numerous global organisations.
